Community Experience
Visiting academics are welcome to enjoy the community life of University College.
The Senior Common Room, located in the main college building, provides a relaxed environment in which to review the day's newspapers, watch TV and mix with other visitors and residents.
Pre-dinner and after dinner drinks are served in the Senior Common Room during the semester term on High Table nights for all who wish to attend. While staying at the college, visitors are also able to participate in the academic program for students.
Organised by the Dean of Studies, student interaction involves either informal seminars in specific research areas, hosting round table dinners in the dining room or informal chats with students. Every month, drinks are also held for all visiting academics to come together and socialise with residents, students and staff.
