12 September: 9:00am – 4:00pm

This year we’re doing things a little differently…

We understand that for students researching their university and accommodation options, Open Day is an important date in the diary.
This year, with the current pandemic rendering physical visits to our campuses impossible, the ten residential colleges in Melbourne have been working hard to put together a program of events so we can do things a little differently this year, and bring the Intercollegiate Virtual Open Day to you, in an online format.
To the right, you will find our timetable for the day – you can register for any sessions you are interested in via this timetable.
All ten colleges will be running virtual tours at various times throughout the day, so you can attend as many or as few as you’d like! There will also be panel discussions, so you can meet with students and hear answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Plus, all the sessions are recorded, so even if you can’t tune in live, we still encourage you to register, then you will automatically receive a recording after the event.
Open Day is a great opportunity to meet some of our current students and get a feel for which college culture is the best fit for you! You can still take a tour with our students and hear why they love living at UC (it will just be virtual this year). You will be able to check out our rooms and facilities and our students will answer any questions you have along the way.
It’s essential to live somewhere that feels like home and will help your transition to university. UC is a diverse community of domestic and international students and offers you the perfect environment to forge life-long friendships alongside your studies.
If you are interested in the University of Melbourne’s Open Day for 2020, they will also be holding a virtual open day for students. The event for undergraduates will take place on the 5th and 6th of September, the weekend before our event. You can find out more about the University’s plans here.
