Many UC alumni are actively involved in the life of the residential college – as volunteers, as student mentors and as donors to the scholarship program.

With over 6,300 alumni living in over 50 countries around the world, when you join the University College community you are joining a truly global community. UC alumni have graduated and gone on to become scientists, politicians, doctors, lawyers, musicians, community leaders and entrepreneurs – among many other things.
The residential college regularly invites alumni to attend High Table, receptions and other student focused events such as the UC Leadership Dinner and Pathways Dinner. These events provide alumni with an opportunity to engage with old friends, reminisce about days gone by and reconnect with the College, while enhancing the student experience as well.
We maintain contact with our alumni network via Frappe Fort, the biannual UC Magazine as well as our annual events program, to which all alumni and friends of University College are warmly welcome.
Alumni of the College are allowed to become Members of the College, giving them the right to vote at the AGM and nominate for a position on Council. Members must apply by filling in the Membership of College – application form and return it to the residential college for approval by the Council.
