Australia Day Honours

UC would like to congratulate four remarkable women who were recognised for their contribution to the nation in this year's Australia Day Honours List.

Mrs Anne Cronin OAM (pictured left) was awarded a Medal in the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to community health and to medical research organisations. Mrs Cronin has been on the University College Council for 27 years, and is currently in her 15th year as President.

In addition to Mrs Cronin, three alumni were awarded a Medal in the Order of Australia (OAM):

Dr Martha L Kent OAM
for service to medicine, particularly to mental health

Ms Susan M Nixon OAM
for service to the community, particularly to women

Dr Emma K O'Brien OAM
for service to community health through music therapy programs
