Stephanie Alexander AO
Stephanie Alexander AO, is a highly regarded Australian cook, restaurateur and food writer. Stephanie is also the founder of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation which takes a revolutionary approach to food education, focusing on pleasure, flavour and fun.

Dr Margaret Garson AO
Margaret is an engaged alumna and one of our longest serving supporters. Margaret also established the Margaret Garson Medicine Scholarship to support UC students who are studying medicine.
Margaret Garson’s contributions to medicine, as a role model for women in research, through her leadership in the establishment of cytogenetics as a new field of medical research in Victoria and as a mentor and teacher to generations of medical scientists have been fundamental to the development of cancer treatment services in Victoria.

Andrew Hyslop
Andrew now lives in The Hague, in The Netherlands, with his wife Eliane. He works as an Attitude and Orbit Control Systems Engineer at the European Space Agency (ESA) – ESTEC. After University College he finished his Aerospace Engineering and Business degrees at RMIT and then began writing to space engineering companies all over the world to see if anyone would take him on.

Gwenda Spencer OAM
Gwenda Rodda was a student at University College from 1947-1948 and studied a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne. After her studies, Gwenda went on to be the first female to volunteer to Indonesia in 1952.
As an alumna of the College, we are proud to share Gwenda’s remarkable achievements. Like so many women who attended the College in its early years, Gwenda went on to lead an impressive and formidable life, paving the way for empowered women to follow in her footsteps.

Darrell Wade
Darrell is the CEO and co-founder of the Intrepid Group, the world’s largest provider of adventure travel experiences.
Darrell is living proof that the friends you make at College can have a profound influence on the rest of your life. In 1979, two bright young men, Darrell Wade and Geoff Manchester met on the first day of O-Week. Like so many of our students, they forged a lifelong friendship and, after studying and travelling together, almost a decade later on an epic journey across Africa in 1988, they came up with the idea for Intrepid Travel.
