Future Student Visit UC - Residential College | University College

Visit UC

While we understand it’s not always easy, visiting UC in person is the best way to get a genuine feel for College life. There are several ways you can visit us.

Open Days – May and August

Every August we open our doors to coincide with the UniMelb Open Day (usually the third Sunday in August). As it can be a lot to fit all of this in one day, all of the colleges also run an Open House event in May every year, offering an earlier opportunity to visit us. We will announce the 2024 date for this event soon.

Open Days are a great chance to grab a tour around the college and see our rooms and facilities, have a chat with our current students, meet our staff and learn all about our inclusions, scholarship programs and application process.

Come along and get a taste of residential college life!

Private Tours

You can visit UC and take a private tour at a time that suits you. Tours generally take place between 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday. Please contact us in advance to arrange a suitable tour time. We are rarely able to accommodate walk-ins. Weekend tours can occasionally be arranged dependent on student availability and notice given.

On a private tour, a student or staff member will show you and your family our key residential college facilities, including both our new and heritage-style rooms where possible (please note, when students are in residence we may not have any free rooms to display).

We welcome you to contact the College via the form below to make a time for a personal tour. During the academic year you will have an opportunity to meet some students and get a feel for the friendly, relaxed, and supportive community that is UC.

Please note that if you visit during the mid-semester school holidays (end of June/July) or the end of year summer holidays (end of November till mid-February) there will be no students at College.

Virtual Tour – Open Day

As Open Day wasn’t able to take place in 2020 and 2021, we ran a virtual event instead.

You can view a recording of one of the UC tours on YouTube. or watch below. Or you can check out a 360 degree view of some of our key campus facilities.

Webinars

Every few months we run informational webinars about UC. Register for our next webinar here.

Not quite ready to visit in person? Then check out our future students page for more information about UC.
