We are preparing the College for a remarkable and sustainable future in all its dimensions: the student experience, college facilities and scholarships, together with academic and well being programs.
The UC Redevelopment Project was completed and opened in 2019. This means that now over 320 students each year are able to experience all that University College has to offer.
Thanks to the generosity of the College community, we offered 68 scholarships to 66 students in 2020 to a student population of 318 – up from 37 scholarships to 35 students in 2017 to a student population of 239. With the increase in the number of students as well as challenging external factors, we have indeed seen a relative increase in the number of applications to the UC Scholarship Program. We have a long term target of offering 100 scholarships annually and are tremendously grateful to everyone who is making a contribution.
We have had over 70 alumni and community members volunteer their time to support students via a remote mentoring program during the pandemic.
We encourage you to be an active part of this exciting journey and we appreciate your support.
There are many ways you can make an impact, including:
“We recognise that students from rural and regional Victoria face many challenges in moving away from home, and university costs can be one more obstacle in the way of realising their ambitions. We’re delighted that the scholarships we’ve donated will assist talented students with a background like ours to enjoy the wonderful experience of university study while living in College” – Reg and Norma Binding
